WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The Emergency Paediatric First Aid training is recommended for anyone who cares for infants and children, such as parents, guardians, or grandparents. This course is designed to fulfil the current Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) criteria and covers the key paediatric First Aid skills needed to deal with an emergency paediatric First Aid situation such as choking or minor injuries.
If you work in an Early Years setting, such as a nursery or school, we recommend doing a 2-day Paediatric First Aid course, which is OFSTED approved.
CERTIFICATION AND ASSESSMENT
To ensure that you have acquired the skills and knowledge required to become a professional Paediatric First Aider, a range of teaching methods will be used, including real-life scenario scenarios and videos. A multiple-choice exam will be given at the end of the course.
After successfully completing this training, each delegate will be certified as a responsible Paediatric First Aider in the workplace. The certificate is valid for three years and is automatically accredited by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB).
